After the first attempt at playing this match was abandoned with Rovers leading 3–1, the rearranged fixture saw Wycombe earn a 2–0 victory.

Joel Grant gave Wycombe the lead in the 11th minute, before player-manager Gareth Ainsworth rounded off the scoring ten minutes into the second half. Rovers defender Garry Kenneth was punished by the club after reacting to abuse aimed at him by some Gasheads following the final whistle.
