Ryan Clarke
From Gasopedia - Bristol Rovers Wiki
Ryan Clarke is a goalkeeper who spent six years with Rovers, but made just twenty-three league appearances in that time. He was a product of the Rovers youth system, and was the backup 'keeper for the whole of his time with the club. His only extended run in the first team came during the 2004-05 season, when first choice goalie Kevin Miller spent a long spell out injured. Other than this he was limited to very occasional one-off appearances.
He was sent out on loan three times by Rovers, to Southend United, Kidderminster Harriers and Forest Green Rovers. The longest of these spells was at Forest Green, where he spent the whole of the 2005-06 season. He was released by the club in the summer of 2006, whereupon he joined Salisbury City.
[edit] Career
Ryan has only had two senior clubs in his career; Bristol Rovers and Salisbury City, and has been loaned out three times by Rovers and once by Salisbury. After joining Salisbury he became the first choice between the sticks, but was displaced in the summer of 2008 after suffering a broken metatarsal whilst on holiday. Following this he was sent out on loan to Northwich Victoria, where he played 23 league games before returning to Salisbury.
After three years at Salisbury, Ryan signed for Oxford United in the summer of 2009.
