Rob Scott was given a Pro contract under the managerial reign of Garry Thompson, under then youth team manager Phil Bater. The terms agreed verbally.
The length of contract was reduced ahead of signing, following the immediate appointment of new manager Ray Graydon. The reasons cited as the reduction in television money following the collapse of the ITV Digital sport agreement.
Rob later followed Phil Bater to into the non league scene with Phil joining him with spells at Clevedon Town and Mangotsfield United.
Rob made the substitutes bench on a number of occasions, however did not make a full senior appearance for the club.
Playing Career Edit
Rob captained the Southern Premier league side Clevedon Town side to reach the FA Cup First Round Proper in the 2006–07 season, losing 4-1 to Chester City in front of a capacity crowd at the Hand Stadium.
Rob was selected for inclusion in the British Universities squad during his time at University.
