Career[]

Dick started his career with Swindon Town, but never made any appearances for their first team. His senior debut came six months after joining Rovers, when he was included in the lineup to face Brighton & Hove Albion in October 1965. He became Yeovil Town's record signing when they paid £3,000 to take him from Rovers in October 1968, and two years later he also became their record sale when he joined Charlton Athletic for £7,000.

He made 43 League appearances and scored ten times in two years with Charlton, and scored a further 17 goals in 59 games for Exeter City between 1972 and 1974. He returned to Yeovil Town in 1974, and spent a further four years there, before ending his career with Chard Town.

As of May 2010, Plumb is Yeovil's second highest post-war goalscorer, with 150 goals for The Glovers in all competitions.
