A three-game unbeaten run came to an end when Rovers faced Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in this League One fixture.
The first half was scoreless, although both sides had opportunities to break the deadlock, and both managed to hit the woodwork. It took until the 64th minute for Plymouth to take the lead, thanks to on-loan Tottenham midfielder Dean Parrett's first goal in senior football, but the advantage was short lived; Will Hoskins netting less than three minutes later.
Former Manchester City man Bradley Wright-Phillips proved to be the difference between the sides. He gave Plymouth the lead for the second time at the 77 minute mark, before putting the final nail in the Rovers coffin in the final minute of normal time.
