Michael Leary is a midfielder who joined Rovers on loan from Luton Town early in the 2005-06 season. He was signed on 31 August 2005 and stayed for four months until the end of the year.
Career[]
Michael started his career as a trainee at Luton Town before earning himself a pro contract with the club. While at Luton he had a number of loan spells with other clubs, at Walsall, Rovers, Torquay United and Brentford. In the summer of 2007 he was released by Luton, and joined Barnet on a free transfer. He made 50 League appearances for The Bees in a two-year stay, before joining Grimsby Town in 2009.
After being released by Grimsby in 2011 Leary was considering quitting the professional game, and had already begun training to become a plumber. He joined Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity in time for the 2011–12 season.
