Danny Williams is a Welsh midfielder who played six games for Rovers at the end of the 2003-04 season. He spent just two months with the club in 2004, having signed from Kidderminster Harriers in March and signed for Wrexham in May.

He scored his only goal for Rovers 18 minutes into his début, a 3–0 victory over York City on 27 March 2004, and played five more games for the club before the end of that season.

CareerEdit

Danny started out as a trainee with Liverpool, and spent two years in the pro ranks at the club without making any first team appearances. He left Liverpool to join Wrexham, his home town club, and spent two years at the Racecourse Ground during which time he had a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers. Following this he joined Kidderminster Harriers in 2001, and made a total of 111 league games for them. In 2004 he found himself surplus to requirements at Aggborough and was loaned to Chester City for a month before joining Bristol Rovers on a free transfer.

After his brief stint with Bristol Rovers he moved back to Wrexham for a second stint at the Welsh club, this time making 121 league appearances and scoring seven goals in four years, bringing his total for the club up to ten goals in 160 league games. He left Wrexham in 2008 and joined League of Wales side Rhyl, where he spent the duration of the 2008–09 season, before returning to England in 2009 to join Conference North side Droylsden. His stay with Droylsden was brief, and he returned to Welsh football with Bala Town mid-way through the 2009–10 season.

A further two seasons with Bala followed, then he dropped down to the Welsh Alliance to play for Denbigh Town in 2012.
