Craig Disley is a central midfielder who joined Rovers in the summer of 2004 from Mansfield Town. For the whole of his time with the club he wan an almost permanent fixture in the starting lineup, but he was released on expiry of his contract in the summer of 2009 in spite of missing a total of only five league games in the previous three seasons. Following his release he signed a two-year contract with Shrewsbury Town.
Prior to joining Rovers, Craig's only other professional club was Mansfield Town, who he joined as a trainee. He went on to make 158 appearances for The Stags, scoring 16 goals, before moving down to Bristol. After 5 years with The Pirates he was told that his services were no longer required, and that he was free to join another club. He was offered a two-year deal by Shrewsbury Town, but he was released again at the end of this contract in 2011 having made 42 league appearances and scored three goals.
He signed a two-year contract with Grimsby Town in 2011 and was almost ever-present for them in the league during his first season, missing just two matches.
Record against RoversEdit
Craig has played against Rovers four times at first team level and never lost. The highlight of these games was when he scored two goals in Mansfield's 3–1 win over Rovers in 2003. He also won two other games, and drew once.
