Goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen was the hero of this League One fixture against Carlisle United, when his injury time penalty save rescued a point for The Pirates.

The first half remained goalless, despite both sides coming close to scoring, but the deadlock was finally broken early in the second period when Chris Lines headed the ball into the net to give Rovers the lead and Charlie Reece came close to doubling that advantage when his long-range shot hit the post shortly afterwards. Rovers had become late goal specialists in recent games, so it was something of a shock when Mike Grella grabbed a late equaliser for Carlisle in the 87th minute, and when Danny Coles was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box in the third minute of added time it looked like Carlisle would make the long journey home with all three points. It was not to be however, with Andersen's heroics earning Rovers a share of the spoils.
