Rovers fell to their first ever defeat at the hands of Aldershot Town in what was a disappointing performance for the team. The reaction of some fans to the loss led manager Paul Buckle to state that he felt some people at the club needed to reign in their expectations, saying that they needed 'some realism around the place'.
The Aldershot squad featured a couple of Rovers connections on the bench. Anthony Pulis, who was a former Rovers loanee and son of ex-Rovers player Tony Pulis, was an unused substitute, as was Bradley Bubb, cousin of former Gas man Alvin Bubb.
